Wire Springs

Definition of Wire Springs

A wire spring is a mechanism made of coiled wire to store and release energy.

Types of Wire Springs

The available types of wire springs are compression springs, extension springs, torsion springs, double torsion springs, conical compression springs, magazine springs, wire forms, garter springs, medical springs, and wire rings. All of the wire springs listed are manufactured here at China Spring Products Corp. We have a great variety of sizes when it comes to your wire diameter as well since it is very important depending on where and how you're going to apply your spring

Compression Springs

A compression spring is a mechanical device in the shape of a helix made from spring wire.  It is used to store or release energy.

Conical Compression Springs

Conical compression springs are the same as a compression springs but have tapered outer diameters which give it a cone shape to provide stability and more travel.

Extension Springs

Extension springs, also known as a tension spring, are helical wound coils, wrapped tightly together to create tension. Extension springs usually have hooks, loops, or end coils that are pulled out and formed from each end of the body.

Garter Springs

Garter springs are made by coiling a compression spring or extension spring with male and female ends you can join them together to form the garter spring.

Torsion Springs

Torsion springs are an example of a helical spring made to generate rotational and torsional forces. The last coils of this spring are extended to form legs which are the ones to be pushed / pulled in order to make the rotational force.

Double Torsion Springs

Double torsion springs are two torsion springs connected together and combined into one by connecting the two springs with a straight or bent gap of wire.

Spring Rings

Spring Rings (also known as wire rings) are usually made of one or two coils and usually are used as key rings. Springs rings also don't even have to form a full coil.

Magazine Springs

Magazine springs are compression springs with oval-shaped coils which help the spring adjust to the design of a gun magazine.
